Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin. The needles penetrate the upper layers of the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing process, resulting in increased collagen and elastin production, and improved skin texture and appearance.

During a microneedling treatment, your skin will be cleansed and a numbing cream applied to minimise discomfort. Then, a specialised microneedling pen, is gently rolled or stamped over the skin, creating tiny punctures. These micro-injuries trigger the body’s wound healing response, leading to the production of new collagen and elastin fibres, which help to rejuvenate the skin.

Microneedling can be used to address a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, scars (including acne scars), hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and texture irregularities. It is commonly performed on the face but can also be used on other areas of the body, such as the neck, décolletage, and hands.
